SAN BERNARDO SQUARE
Place: Seville
Year 2014
Team: Alberto Aguilar Gil / Daniel Alvarez
USED PROGRAMS

San Bernardo station is known in Seville for its market and for the large square filled with cars from early in the morning. This project seeks to refloat that pedestrian plaza by taking cars to another level, but not to make them disappear from the area. The project proposes large square concrete plates that overlap and leave ventilation holes - skylights for the interior parking. We can say that the square is a large pedestrian pergola with different uses such as parks for children or rest areas.
